Pandelis Kampanos

Pandelis Kampanos, from Chamaizi, Siteia. The foreman of the Petras excavations. With a remarkable ability of mind and dexterity he dealt with complicated deposits and stratigraphies, especially in the palace. He is also very talented in the consolidation of the architectural remains (Petras, Aghia Photia, Halasmenos and other sites) Before Petras he has worked with M. Tsipopoulou at Aghia Photia, and in various excavations directed by Costis Davaras. He also worked as a foreman at the Halasmenos, excavation.  He was the Mayor of his village for 12 years.
